This year will be a special celebration of the congregation of “Spirit, Study and Service” with civic, cultural and social leaders of the Boston community who will help to light the candles of the Menorah. Rabbi Berman will present “A Light Though The Ages,” which he originally wrote and presented over 35 years ago in New York. It chronicles the holiday through the ages – from its origins as a celebration of religious freedom more than 2000 years ago – through times of darkness and moments of light and triumph. The voices of the world renowned Zamir Chorale, under the leadership of artistic director Joshua Jacobson, will help tell these timeless stories with traditional and contemporary holiday music.
